Apologies for the gap in blog updates!
Last week from Thursday night to Saturday afternoon, we were at my Aunt Henreiette’s and Uncle John’s house on a lake. Our grandma came with us as well. Their newlywed daughter -my awesome cousin -and her husband run a Young Adults group, and they had arranged for us to do music and speak to them -kind of like the Monday Night in the Park in Ottawa, except this was more like Thursday Night in the Yard in Peterborough. After eating burgers together for dinner, we led worship and Dad spoke to them on Malachi Man and the importance of discipleship. Then he showed them the promo video for MM. There were a few guys there who seemed to click with the message and were excited about Malachi Man, which is great.
The next day, Friday, we enjoyed a relaxing day swimming, paddle-boarding, water-skiiing, tubing, and just chillin’ in the sun with dear relatives.
Saturday afternoon, we drove to Orono for a family reunion! Not everybody was there, but it was nice to see relatives I haven’t seen for a long time. It was at my Uncle Ed and Aunt Arlene’s place. They have a big property with a pond that has the awesome-ist (Yes I know that’s not a word but it should be) water slide ever. It’s long with an element of risk (as in, you can actually go over the edge into the prickle bushes and yes, it has happened) that gets you going fast and shoots you into the pond. We spent a few hours down at the pond with everyone; talking, swimming, going down the slide and off the rope swing, and in the paddle-boat. Then we enjoyed a fabulous dinner together. I loved seeing Aunts and Uncle’s and cousins that I hardly ever see. Some little cousins I have never even met before! Other’s have grown up so much since I last saw them two years ago.

One of my favorite things about the reunion was seeing cute cousins I don’t often get to see -like little Brendon who is sitting on my lap
Being at the family reunion was a lot of fun. I love the Snyder family!
Kaitlyn -on behalf of the Snyder clan 😀
What wonderful reunion for all of you to experience.
Our prayers are with you!
